uniPaaS Live RIA Demo

Dear Guest,

We are happy to share with you our live RIA demo. This demo is intended to demonstrate the various features and capabilities of the uniPaaS RIA technology. Bear in mind that the front-end you experience is just the tip of the iceberg of this technology.
Aside from the freedom to create any sort of user interface design, the greatness of this technology is in what goes on behind the scenes.
We recommend you download the source files package after you launch the application in order to experience the technology in its fullest.
(The source files packge is available from the Help Pull-down menu of the demo)

Before you proceed to launch the uniPaaS RIA demo we ask you to pay attention to the following important notes in order to make sure you are able to run the demo application properly.

Browser Type

It is highly recommended to launch the demo from Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or higher. Alternatively you can also launch the demo from FireFox, given the IE Tabs or FFClickOnce add-ons are installed.

The adherence to the type of browser is required only for the first activation of the application. Consecutive executions of the application can be done from a shortcut created under the Programs list of the Start menu.

Proxy Authentication

If you are connected to the Internet using a Proxy server, you will be able to run the demo application only if the proxy server authentication method is set as "Integrated".

Enabling Extended Features

The application demonstrates extended features by utilizing an embedded browser control. If your Internet Explorer is of version 7 or higher, you should execute the following procedure.
The following procedure allows a web page script to modify the status bar text:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select the "Internet options" menu entry under the "Tools" pulldow menu.
3. In the "Internet Options" dialog, switch to the Security tab.
4. Press "Custom Level" button.
5. Reach the 4th setting from the bottom called "Allow status bar updates via script".
6. Set this option to Enable.
7. Close the dialog.

Initial Setup

uniPaaS RIA client is a .NET based module. The prerequisites for running the client is to have the .NET framework (version 2.5) and a Microsoft component called MSHTML installed. On the next page from which you launch the application, pay attention to the extra buttons that appear below the Start button. If the .NET Framework button appears, click it first to install the .NET framework, after that, click on the MSHTML button to install the additional component.

After this initial setup you can proceed to launch the application by pressing the Start button.
